Vintage Lovey Duck Trick, Vienna Magic, circa 1987

A delightful, audience-engaging kid's trick featuring Lovey Duck! A fun and interactive performance that will keep everyone entertained, this vintage piece from Vienna Magic is a great addition to any kid show act or collection.

Effect: Lovey Duck is introduced and placed into a wooden shed for his breakfast—but he quickly jumps out twice, much to the surprise of the audience! The magician reveals that Lovey Duck has whispered about a "fierce cat" hiding in the shed. When the door is opened, lo and behold, a cat has appeared!

The magician, knowing the cat and duck don’t get along, warns they can’t both be placed in the shed together. Of course, by "accident," both the cat and duck are put inside. When the door is opened, the cat is the only one to emerge. The magician humorously exclaims, "He must have eaten the duck!"

In a stunning twist, the shed is covered with a large cloth, magic words are spoken, and a large egg appears inside! The magician, now upset at the disappearance of the duck, watches in disbelief as the duck rises out of the egg 2 or 3 times, unseen by the magician—but eventually, it’s revealed, much to the delight of the audience. The duck is safely returned to the shed.
