Cube in a Tube. Supreme Magic, ca. 1970s
A Supreme Exclusive Effect, originated by Arthur Setterington. A handsome 4” wooden die is placed on a raised platform and covered with a red and gold painted tube. An empty metal cylinder is then shown and set atop the die and tapped into place with a mallet. When the cover is lifted, the die has vanished—only the metal cylinder remains on the tray. The cylinder is shown again, and now the die has transformed inside, its spots elongated to fit its new cylindrical form. A clever and startling piece of visual magic from Supreme. Wear with age; very good overall.
