At the performer’s command, the lid of an elegant chest slowly lifts, and a gleaming silver sphere rises into view. The ball floats gracefully above the magician, drifting high and low, hovering in midair, and following the performer as though animated by his very will.
At last, the sphere returns to its resting place in the chest, assisted with dignity, and the lid closes on its own. A hauntingly beautiful illusion, long regarded as one of Owen’s most striking creations.
Chest shows wear with a crack and broken hinge requiring repair. Sphere is dulled with age but free of dents or rust. Overall, very good condition. Scarce.
