Alpha-Mental

$75.00

A Mental Routine by Uwe Schenk and Michael Sondermeyer. Distributed by Jeff Busby, 1992

At first glance the effect we are about to present may sound familiar to you. Looking closer at the effect, you will find out however, that here a classical prediction effect has been extended to a truly inexplicable mind-reading experiment which is totally baffling for amateurs as well as experts and employs a principle which is only known to insiders. In developing the trick we have tried to make the method direct and the handling clear. For your performance of Alpha-Mental we wish you success and great pleasure from the amazement of your audience.

Effect: The performer carries a newspaper article in his one hand and a pair of scissors in the other. He then cuts the article in two at a position determined by a spectator. To expel thoughts of any manipulations the spectator is asked to pick up the piece which has dropped to the floor and he is then asked to remember one word from the first four lines which consists of more than three letters.

The performer briefly summarizes that the article was cut at a position freely determined by a spectator who is now concentrating on a word which again was freely selected. The performer then starts to gradually name all letters contained in the word the spectator is thinking of, until he finally names the whole word itself. A rare find in very good condition.
