Penetrating Glass

$395.00

Penetrating Glass. Val Evans, Boston, ca. 1945.

A glass is covered with a handkerchief and a plate placed on top. A decorative tube is then balanced on the plate. Moments later, the glass slowly and visibly penetrates the cloth and plate, ultimately appearing inside the tube.

An ingenious mechanical effect employing an unconventional method concealed within the tray. The apparatus consists of the decorated tray and matching tube. Any suitable glass and plate may be used; neither is included. Tray measures approximately 14½ × 10”. Light wear from age and use. No instructions. Very good condition overall.
