RANDI, James (The Amazing Randi, 1928–2020). Handwritten Letter to Stanley Palm. Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 1973.
A handwritten letter from The Amazing Randi to magic collector Stanley Palm, discussing the Houdini Museum in Niagara Falls, Canada. Writing on Minneapolis Holiday Inn stationery, Randi mentions mentalist Joseph Dunninger's acquisition of material associated with the museum and asks Palm about the identity of “C.C.” He also confirms the museum's official reopening on October 31, Houdini's death anniversary, and personally invites Palm to attend.
An interesting piece of correspondence documenting Randi's involvement with the Houdini Museum and his exchanges with fellow collectors. Signed twice with his characteristic initial “R.” Includes the original Holiday Inn envelope, addressed by hand and postmarked May 30, 1973. Letter retains its original mailing folds with light toning and handling wear. Envelope shows age-related wear, including tears, creasing, and edge damage. Overall very good condition, with noted envelope defects.
