Early painted example of Warner’s miniature transposition effect. A white chip is placed inside the small lacquered box while a black chip is placed in the performer’s pocket. When the box is reopened, the black chip has mysteriously taken the place of the white, which is discovered in the performer’s pocket.

Finished in black and red lacquer and accompanied by the original typewritten instructions. An early example from Warner’s painted Mini-Magic period, predating the later examples more commonly encountered. Shows wear from age and use, including rubbing and losses to the finish; good condition overall.
