Fantastic Cards. Petrie & Lewis, ca. 1940s[?]
An unusual close-up effect in which a borrowed deck is spread between the performer’s hands and appears suspended in midair while remaining fully connected. A selected card may be removed and replaced while the cards are in this impossible condition, after which the deck is immediately squared and shuffled again. Classic Petrie and Lewis utility effect designed for impromptu-style performance with an ordinary borrowed deck.
Pair of spring-loaded thread reels with finger clips and clasp connection. Each reel measures approximately 1” in diameter. Featured on page 89 of the P&L Book. Very good condition. Uncommon.
