Vanishing Postage Stamp. Maker Unknown, ca. [?]
Two small plastic sheets with a 2 pence stamp sandwiched between them are held together with two elastic bands. A spectator is asked to note the value and colour of the stamp. The spectator is then asked to hold the two plastic sheets between his hands, the magician now tells him he will make the stamp vanish.
The magician makes a magic pass and says the stamp has now vanished, but when the spectator opens his hands he sees that the stamp is still there. Next comes the BIG SURPRISE when the two plastic sheets are turned over it is seen that the 2 pence stamp has vanished and in its place is a 1 pence stamp (which is a different colour) sandwiched between the two plastic sheets. The two elastic bands are removed, the two plastic sheets are parted and it is found that the 1 pence stamp is stuck firmly to one of the plastic sheets.
Toning to plastic, otherwise in very good condition. Original instructions included.
