Hades Fire Bowl and Dove Pan Combination – Merv Taylor, ca. 1955
A versatile two-in-one marvel from master craftsman Merv Taylor. First, a copper pan—produced from a handkerchief—bursts into flames. The magician swiftly covers it with the lid, extinguishing the fire. Upon reopening, the flames have transformed into a live dove, a bouquet of flowers, or another magical production. Can also be used as a traditional dove pan.
Beautifully crafted from spun copper, with a Lucite knob atop the lid. Complete with the original box, bearing the Merv Taylor hallmark and Ken Klosterman’s Salon de Magie inventory label, No. K1908. Minor wear with age, very good condition overall.
