Silk to Ball. Friedrich Wilhelm Conradi Horster (Conradi), ca. 1910.
A bright red silk is openly pushed into the hand, only to transform into a solid red wooden ball. A clever and visual pocket effect from Conradi, combining simplicity with strong magical impact.
Turned wooden ball in original red finish, paired with a later red silk for display and performance. Light wear and scattered surface marks consistent with age and use. Ball measures approximately 1 ½” in diameter. A handsome and uncommon early twentieth-century piece of German conjuring apparatus. Very good condition.
