Articulated steel restraint with spring-loaded upper jaw and curved lower arms. Central coil spring with screw-adjusted tension. Riveted construction. Stamped with partial markings and serial number “113.” Light surface wear; good working condition. Based on the design patented by Reinhold Heid and Carl Roth (German patent 244149, issued 24 September 1910). Early German “nipper” type—known as Vorführzange or Schliesszange. Uncommon.
